Arsenal have confirmed that Jurrien Timber sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate li Game nt during Saturday's 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest and will need to undergo surgery . The defender, who only joined the Gunners this summer from Ajax, made his first Premier League start, but had to be withdrawn just after half-time. Timber limped into the half-time break after coming off worse from a foul on Brennan Johnson. He was cleared to play the second 45 but was hauled off around the 50-minute mark after going down again with no one around him.
