Google to launch 'Perspectives' search feed

Google's new search feature will show different perspectives in search results, displayed in a different tab, that will be available to users on Friday.

In a blog post Google wrote, “Tap the filter, and you’ll exclusively see long- and short-form videos, images and written posts that people have shared on discussion boards, Q&A sites and social media platforms.”

The Verge described the perspective results as “more like Pinterest than a typical set of Google results," which will include "long- and short-form videos, images and written posts that people have shared on discussion boards, Q&A sites and social media platforms."

According to Google's blog, the perspectives filter will provide human-like responses like advice from other people in the form of personal stories told through video, or tips from commenters in a forum thread.

Google claims to have improved its content ranking system which will evaluate sites and Businesses based on quality and originality of the information.
