Pokemon Go Kecleon Bug Becomes A Feature

Pokemon Go players can now catch the elusive Kecleon much more easily, thanks to a recent update from developer Niantic. Kecleon made its debut in the Game at the start of this year and quickly became a favorite among players. The unique encounter method which involved approaching Pokestops and spinning them to engage Kecleon in battle however came with a few bugs. The news comes from a trainer on Reddit who recently discovered that Niantic turned one of these bugs into a feature. This made Kecleon visible on Pokestops outside of the player's radius if the Pokestop was tapped on, but instead of removing the bug, Niantic simply turned the glitch into a feature. The change has made it much easier for players to locate Kecleon in the wild and catch the creature, eliminating some of the frustration involved in finding this particular Pokemon. It's makes sense consdiering the platform is aimed a lot more towards children, and a recent datamine has discovered that the platform seems to have added a few new words to its list. Sepaking with Kotaku, longtime Nintendo dataminer OatmealDome has revealed that a number of references to mass shootings have been added to the list, including names and organizations like ISIS, Adam Lanza (Sandy Hook), Salv8dor (Uvlade), and Alek Minassian (Toronto). Hawks coaching candidates: Quin Snyder, Mike D'Antoni among five options to take over in Atlanta

The Hawks had plenty of reasons to fire Nate McMillan . Back-to-back disappointing seasons. A poor track record of player development. An old-school offense that feels completely out of place in the modern NBA . The Hawks were justified in changing coach es purely based on what happened on the court, and yet, it's hard to overlook what happened off of it as a possible motivator for McMillan's ouster. In December, Trae Young missed sat out of a game against the Denver Nuggets. The Athletic later reported that his absence was due to a disagreement with McMillan. Young, dealing with a shoulder injury at the time, missed that morning's shootaround to receive treatment. McMillan reportedly gave him two choices: come off of the bench against the Nuggets, or sit out the game entirely. Young apparently chose the latter, and did not attend the loss to Denver. There is no greater coaching sin in the modern NBA t...

Writing a Book During the Pandemic – Mary T. O’Sullivan

Image
By Mary T. O’Sullivan, MSOL “Writing books is the closest men ever come to childbearing.” ―   Norman Mailer What did people do during the 2020 pandemic? Conventional Wisdom said that the pandemic presented the perfect opportunity to do big and different things: start baking anything, bread baking was big – the flour mills ran out of flour; start the craft hobbies again, scrapbooking, knitting, making vases out of soup cans proliferated; people binge watched favorite shows and movies; bought Peloton bikes and strengthened those slacked muscles. Furthermore, many pundits declared that writing a book was the thing to do. We were admonished to be productive, to ward off depression or feelings of isolation. However, according to studies conducted during the 2020–2021 time frame, many people ignored admonishments to keep busy and contented themselves by cocooning for the time being, preferring to s tay home and limiting face-to-face contact with other...

Warriors' Draymond Green calls out Golden State for lack of will on defense: 'It has to come from within'

The Golden State Warriors fell apart in the second half on Tuesday night en route to a 134-124 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Another poor defensive performance, combined with a third defeat in four games ahead of the All-Star break, was enough for Draymond Green to call his team out during his postgame press conference.  Green spoke at length, not about Xs and Os, but about desire and commitment -- two traits he isn't seeing enough of from his teammates.  "It has to come from within," Green told reporters. "Defense is all about will, a want to defend. Defense isn't fun. You've just got to do it if you want to win, and we haven't. "It's the will to defend -- stop and guard your man, and sink, and drop the box and rotate. Defense is just one or two steps extra ... that's all will, and we don't have that as a team." Green also explained how the Warriors' la...

Related: 2023 Will Be A Banner Year For Video Game Horror Neither publisher more developer said exactly when Dead Island went gold, which marks the development milestone for when a master copy is sent to the publisher to create physical media for distribution. These days, going gold doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to as most Game s have day-one patches that are sometimes half the size of the original installation file, while others don't even bother putting data to disc and instead just direct the player to download the Game online. But hey, being feature-complete and coming a week early are both wins, so we'll take 'em. TH...
